Same problem here. I've tried renaming the WoW installation folder to remove spaces / special characters / etc...

    /Applications/WoW doesn't even work

I have also got the same problem. But it *WILL* let me install add-ons. I get back to the main list, and it shows the one it has just installed, but then at the bottom it says "1 of 6". I then try and find out why it might not be displaying, try searching for another of my add-ons, when I clicked on the search box the application just crashed.

EDIT: It seems that by restarting the application and clicking refresh is the only way to get them all to show?

    Btw, my system specs are:

    Macbook Early 2008 1.5GB RAM 2.1Ghz Intel C2D 120GB HDD Leopard 10.5.8

I realize this is alpha, but this shouldn't even be available for download yet. It simply doesn't function AT ALL.

    Hi there,

Whenever I restart the Curse Client (after restarting the computer e.g.) CC4 tells me that it did not find any game directory though I have created it lately. So I have to enter the data again for some reason. Really bothering :( But besides that: Great work :)

    Regards

/edit: When I added WoW again I just hit Refresh and it gives me all add ons with the possibility to update.

    It Works!!!

    Hello,

I had the same problem, the issue is now over... When you open the panel to add the game please notice that in the row where you are supposed to enter the path there are two text fields, so if you double click on the left one where it says "Game Name" you can replace it writing "World of Warcraft", of course strip the inverted commas; when you click on the right text field where it says "Full path to game, i.e. /Applications/World of Warcraft" you can insert the true path of your WoW installation, in my case it is "/Applications/H/Games/World of Warcraft" but in your case it might well be just "/Applications/World of Warcraft", again do not insert the inverted commas. That's it. It would be a nice thing if the developer could add a border well delimiting the two text frames. Hope this helps,

    Gio.

Sounds like the app is not shutting down cleanly. It doesn't save it's settings until then.

@higly: Go Upgraded preferences panel coming tomorrow with open file dialog for picking the game folder. I should be putting it out there tomorrow before lunch if all goes well.

    Hi,

the new version works, it was a nice choice to allow browsing to the right path.

    Thank you quite a lot,

    Gio.

Glad it's working for you, sorry it wasn't there originally, just have had a lot going on. :)

Working a lot better but still showing only half my addons.

Some addons it's showing may be multiple folders. There are some folders that the client can't match yet as well. This will improve over time.

This morning I updated my add ons... I run both WoWMatrix and the Curse Client as each have add ons the other does not...

Anyhoo.. I ran WoWMatrix first and it updated Atlas Loot.

I then ran Curse Client and ALL the addons EXCEPT Atlas Loot were gone from its list.

I closed and relaunched the application, but no change. I rebooted the computer. No Change.

I deleted the Curse Preferences from the Users / Library folder.. no change.

I deleted the Curse folder from users/ application support... no change.

All the add ons are in fact where they are supposed to be, they are just not showing up on Curse client.

    Ideas / suggestions?

    Thanks!

It's possible that the editing that WowMatrix does to the TOC files is currently stopping the client from being able to recognize the addons.

I'll just uninstall CC4 and wait for the final release and just use WoWMatrix for now... seems to be more reliable even if not all addons are available on there.

Until CC4 is made in such a way as to not be affected by WoW matrix or manual installs, I'll stick with what works.

No offense, and I will be working to make the identification more robust, but you should be complaining to WM that they're breaking things. There are some things that can't be reasonably supported, so depending on _how_ they're editing the files I may not be able to recover it.

Well on the Mac version the release just prior to the current one worked fine with WM. I was having no issues, then the update came out and all my addons went away. So its something the curse client team changed, not WM.

Have to agree.. this is in NO way ready for public use.

Kudos on supporting PPC macs, though, well done.

Mine loads, goes through refreshing whatever but doesn't 'See' any of my installed addons at all. I've always manually installed, so there's no wowmatrix crap in there or anything.

I'll try it again when it's released, don't fancy being a beta tester, thanks.

No offense malsis but the Alpha tag is clearly indicated in the client. This is still a work in progress and as a result doesn't have all the bugs worked out. I'm sorry for this and wish that it was further along, however the previous version had even more issues and wasn't able to be supported. So the decision was made to let people use this as it is being actively developed along as it works for many people (PPC and 10.4 users as well as others) that the v3 client won't.

I'll be taking a look at the issue you're reporting though, and I do appreciate your feedback.
