Today I'm happy to let this link be publicly posted.

I've been working on this version now for the last 5 or 6 months. Between learning obj-c and cocoa and my other duties and the client has been taking up the lion-share of my work time, but I think it's paid off.

The client in it's current state is still basic features wise, and just about every part of the client has work left to be done on it. At the same time the current v3 client for mac users has a lot of issues and I know for many people won't run at all.

    Things you should know

Here's is a few buyer beware type notices:

    • It's not done yet!
    • 10.4 users will currently crash when the main window tries to load. This is due to how Apple's development tools changed between 10.4 and 10.5. As a result the main toolbar fails to load and crashes the app.
    • It won't identify 100% of addons. I've gotten matching up to about 80% or even much better depending on which addons you have.
    • It's not feature complete. If you also use the v4 windows client and are wondering where a feature is, the answer is likely that they're not done yet.

    How to submit feedback

For bug reports or feature suggestions please use the integrated bug submission if possible. If it's not possible (crash bugs) use the Ticket Tracker directly.

For conversation, questions, or other general feedback please use the client's private forum.

    FAQ

Q: Does it support PPC based macs?
    A: YES!

Q: Does it support 10.4 (tiger)?
    A: Yes!, and no.

The application itself is compiled under and targets 10.4 and uses only 10.4 compatible APIs. Unfortunately it also suffers from a bug under 10.4 that causes it to crash. This will be fixed.

Q: What ports does it use?
    A: HTP ports 80 and 443

will expand with more questions as they get asked

I hope you read above (specifically on how to give feedback), but regardless here's the link to download:

    @Kaelten: Go

    Just downloaded.

Few interface quirks (i'll send a report later) but is quick and with plenty of possibilities.

Really a good job, so far. I can't wait to see the release.

    hello,

I have been one of the more upset and often vocal wowmatrix users after wowmatrix got blocked by curse without a decent working alternative.

And although i am still pretty upset by that event this new client seems to work good. And i am pleasantly surprised by its quality. The way it installs (drag and drop) the way it updates and the way it looks and behaves on my mac are all excellent and like a mac app should behave..

Basically i would like to congratulate you on a job well done and thank you for not simply porting some pc prog and shoehorning it into OS X.

Thanks for the kind words downset. It was never our intent to force our users to use something they weren't happy with, but I'm not going to harp on that. I hope that you continue to enjoy using the mac client as I continue to work out kinks and bring in improvements and more features. Sorry the all the stress in the past, here's hoping to better future.
