Curse Client 3.0

5 - manual changelog view before updates

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

Feature (probably a rightclick contextmenu item?) that tries to preview the changelog of the *new* version of addons that are marked as having an update available.
The changelog function currently (in alpha 7b) only displays the changelog of the already installed addon, in which case it's already too late to decide whether something is a safe upgrade or the upgrade should be postponed.

In its most simple form this feature could be merely opening a browser link to the curse.com section of the respective addon describing the changes in the download. Eventho this would make a merged "all changelogs of addons to be updated"-view more difficult to implement later on.

Note: I'm aware that there's sometimes no way of detecting which parts of the changelogs are new in a given version, so that's why this enhancement is a request for a manual lookup function to be run by curious users.

Under the Your Addons Tab (WAR) when I click an addon and then click on view change log I can view it.

Under the Find an Addon tab when you highlight an addon and hit Open Change Log nothing comes up.

Also, the Addons you already have no longer show up in the find an Addon page?
