The Curse Client is a full featured addon manager/updater. We're striving for a balance between intuitiveness and easy of use and having the features even your grizzled power user wants.
It is a living breathing product with an active development schedule and a small team developing it full time, and while we strive for perfection, we know it can always be better.
Please submit all bug reports and feature requests via our ticket tracker.
I invite everyone to suggest and contribute to documentation on the client. I've been messing with it for so long I fear I'm too close to see what needs to be said.
If you want to start testing or working with the latest client grab the latest setup from our files section. As of the time of writing this one is the one you want.

nazneb Wed, 15 Apr 2009 17:25:21I got a brilliant idea for you. Perhaps one that you have not thought of yet. Instead of taking time and energy to disable the one auto-update client that actually works, why don't your write one yourself? 6 months ago I tried to use your app (if you can call it that) to update War addons and received "an unknown error occurred contacting the server" fast forward 6 months, and what do ya know?... same error. Multiple OS's attempted, multiple different versions of your client, multiple networks attempted, and every other app (including wowmatrix) works (or at least did till ya'll f'd it up). If you are going to force people to use your site/tool, then at least come out with a working alternative.

Kaelten Mon, 23 Feb 2009 20:16:02Throndorin: my guess is it's because you're using win2k. We don't at this time offer support for it.
