I can figure out how to push more buttons just fine, the thing that bugs me is why should I?
I don't care if it's called wowmatrix or updateroflol, wowacecurseftwupdater or other lame names, I just want it to be fast simple and reliable, like wowmatrix was.
U do know that people usually fail upwards in life. Ya'll that can't figure out how to click a few more buttons are really really sad.
Basic Recommendation to all of you: Find someone who doesn't play wow, and explain what you think is going on to them. If they laugh, then your in a bad spot. If they aggree with you, then you don't understand a dam thing.

wowMatrix is the best and i haet that it is dead and i wont it to come back nowwwwwwwww becose i dont know how to do the addons here and i dont wont to pay for my addons win i pay to mouch to play this game $77 for 6 moths is wot i pay now wy shod i pay for addons
What I don't get, like a previous post indicated, is that if the issue is truly cost vs bandwidth use, then why is the curse client ad free? Should they not be attempting to recover all this 'stolen revenue' cause if neither client has their advertisements and both clients download the same chunk of file, this is nothing more than straight up old fashioned jealousy. WOWMatrix simply had more users and was easier to work with so they had to steal the spotlight. once I see all my addons back up to supported, I'll be switching back.
FYI, wowmatrix is now updating many addons again, although it doesn't use curse.com or wowinterface.com any more. They say that they're hosting the addons themselves so they'll no longer take bandwidth away from curse/wowinterface. If the addon has a public license they'll host it, otherwise they'll need the addon author's permission. This all sounds reasonable to me.
My story, I'm a Mac user and quit playing a while back, pre-BC. I don't remember any download clients at all back then. With WTLK I got back in and looked at the various clients. For the Mac, the only real option was wowmatrix. When 3.1 dropped and wowmatrix failed, I was going to check out the curse client but found that it won't work on PPC Macs. So, back to using manual downloads again. But now that wowmatrix is back online, somewhat, I'm using it again.
But it does seem like blizz could fix all this by providing addon hosting etc services. They owe a lot to the addon authors making their game even more enjoyable. Maybe they have a pile of spare cash lying around somewhere??
